ABOUT
ABOUT
Mission
I find joy in partnering with my clients (age 18+) on their healing journey, and helping them to find restoration from life's challenges. My approach is one of warmth, encouragement, and compassion. My hope is to increase my client's level of self compassion, and to equip them with skills and tools in order to live a more balanced and enriched life. I bring my authentic self into the therapeutic space, and I invite my clients to do the same. I value integrating compassion, laughter, and vulnerability into our time together. I also enjoy integrating Christian faith beliefs into the therapeutic experience at the client’s request. I consider it a privilege to walk beside my clients during difficult seasons of life.
Vision
My hope is to see you break free from past challenges, and limiting beliefs in order to be able to live a more abundant life. A life full of peace, and joy. I want you to feel free to be who you were created to be. We so often compare ourselves to others, and this causes us to despair, which in turn leads to us trying to be someone or something that we were not created to be. Sometimes what you're most afraid of doing is the very thing that will set you free! Let's partner in discovering your strengths, and dreams so that you can get busy living your best life!
Sherri Conran, MA, LMFT
Hello! I am a licensed Marriage, and Family Therapist, and I received a Masters in Counseling Degree from Adler Graduate School in 2003. I bring a lot of life experience, as well as 20 years of professional experience into my counseling sessions. I also have extensive experience in working with Military Service members, and their families. I feel called to walk with individuals, couples, and families who experience challenges in their life's journey, and I believe that no-one is exempt from these challenges. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, and depression. I also have extensive clinical experience in providing care for: women's issues, managing grief, anger management, marriage counseling, family counseling, and supporting clients experiencing transitions in life.
On a personal note, I have two wonderful adult daughters, and two amazing grandchildren. I love to kayak, play tennis, read, and have engaging conversations with friends.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR-through EMDRIA), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and I have completed Level 1 training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I have also completed an Intensive training on the Neuroscience of Treating Anxiety, Panic and Worry of Adults.
